Afternoons Only: 2-4.30pm Choose from the options below to select the block of 4 dates that suit you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The first rule of PAINT CLUB, is that you tell everyone about PAINT CLUB. You know your way around a palette, but you want to experiment a little in a groovy studio with a creative vibe...Step this way...into TUESDAY Paint Club. Each block will follow a cohesive theme; made up of some theory, a look at different artists, followed by the practical work of painting...From Oils to Acrylic, to Watercolour and Ink - this is the place to explore and experiment with mediums, styles, subject and technique. There will be some suggested (optional!) homework ideas too if you'd like to continue develop at home. 2026 > Block 3 [ABSTRACT] April 14th, 21st, 28th & May 5th Acrylic Paint on Canvas. This block is open for you to interpret 'abstract' as far as you wish - whether you simply go loose with brushstrokes, or full throttle into complete abstraction with shape, colour and flow. >Block 4 [INTERIORS] May 12th, 19th, June 2nd & 9th Oils on Canvas. Based on the work of current artists like Richard Claremont and @Petethestreet1 - we'll be looking at elevating Ordinary Spaces & Rooms: through the dynamic use of light and composition. >Block 5 [BOATS] June 16th, 23rd, 30th & July 7th Watercolours. Sailing. Tug. Canal. Steam. Row...you name it. If it floats, you can paint it! Bring an image or idea of the boat and scene you would like to paint, and we'll set about creating a bobbing masterpiece! Summer Holidays > Block 6 [STILL LIFE] September 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd Oils on Canvas Working initially from a Still Life set up in the studio (then from photos of your viewpoint rather than rotten fruit!!). Students are also welcome to bring photos of their own setups instead. Consider careful composition and style! >Block 7 [BLACK CANVAS] September 29th, October 6th, 13th & 20th Acrylics on Canvas Free choice of subject matter! The twist is we are painting almost 'in reverse' - starting with a black canvas...this block should be an interesting experiment in tone & depth.
