What To Expect

Two-Day Teen Workshop 18th &19th August 2026 10am-3.30pm A leisurely paced 2 day course, for those keen to work in a more traditional style. Let Kelly guide you every step of the way from composition, sketching and underpainting, to working up your chosen landscape in oils. Day One: 'Base in' your underpainting: thinking about composition and layout. We'll learn how to develop tone and depth, giving your work more gravity. Kelly will share her experience, to develop your technique: ready to use the oils in full colour on Friday. Day Two: Working up in oils, slowly painting in fine layers to create a realistic landscape with visual intensity. All materials supplied. Please bring a packed lunch - or food is available from our neighbour The Cowshed Café.
