Mucha Illustration
13yrs+ | 8th & 9th April
What To Expect
8th & 9th April | 2 Day Workshop | 10am-4pm both days Teen Class (13 yrs+) This Easter holiday, t'will be an illustration class like no other - taking inspiration from the Art Nouveau giant: Alphonse Mucha...we will spend a short while looking at his life and major works, followed by a little experimentation of our own, recreating some of his more iconic patterns and designs. Then down to the nitty gritty of assembling a Final Artwork. Artists are encouraged to find or bring and image of someone they would like to use as their Central figure. It could be a self portrait, family member, hero or singer...it's really up to you. On Day 2, with our basic design and technique affirmed, we can start work on the task of painting - followed by an afternoon of fine penmanship. Mucha has always been an artistic hero of mine, and I'm not alone: his work went on to inspire many from William Morris to Pink Floyds Album cover in the 1960's. We'll be walking in the footsteps of Legends! Come with me :) Included in the course are all materials [paint, brushes and paper]. Small class sizes of no more than 5. Class will run even if not full. Please bring a packed lunch (nut free). Water, Tea & Coffee will be freely available all day. Lunches also available to purchase from our neighbour: The Cowshed Cafe
