What To Expect

Thursday Mornings: 10am-Noon You've done the Beginners Course, so you've got a bit of confidence under your belt...however, you're not feeling quite ready to give Da Vinci a run for his money. In fairness, there is always SO much to learn! Hopefully this Intermediate class will bridge that gap. Building on the solid foundation you know about materials, tone, shape and form - we can start to 'play' properly. Diving a bit deeper into trickier, more nuanced work. Each block of 4 classes, we will look at a different subject to explore in a playful way. Making mistakes along the way is always the best method of true learning - correcting, refining and fingers crossed, by the end of each subject, you'll have a little bit more knowledge, confidence and maybe even a decent drawing for the fridge door :) [Move over Da Vinci] Obligatory tea, coffee, laughter and music included. 2025 >Block 1 - Working with Colour [FULL] Nov 13th, 20th, 27th & Dec 4th. 2026 >Block 2 - Buildings & Perspective (AARgg!! Don't worry - it'll be ok!) Mar 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th >Block 3 - Learning to Draw Portraits (this will be ok too!) Apr 16th, 23rd, 30th & May 7th >Block 4 - Drawing the 'Ordinary'. Taking joy from the simple things. May 14th, 21st, June 4th & 11th £85 per person per block (4 classes per block) Small friendly classes set within the Creative Hub of Brownings Farm Workshops.
