What To Expect
April 28th: Acrylic Techniques May 5th: Underpainting & Dry Brushing May 12th: Still Life Study May 19th: Still Life Study Bring some extra vibrancy and colour to your Springtime....Join me (Kelly) for a 4 week course on Tuesday mornings for a beginners guide to Acrylic painting. If you have always wanted to try painting with Acrylic but aren't sure where to start, then you're in the right place. They are such a versatile medium - dilute them like watercolours or use neat from the tube like oils...[with the added benefit of no lingering smell, and for a fraction of the price]. Acrylics are the unsung heroes in every artist's weaponry; that I'm hoping to champion. We'll start looking at most of the techniques and ways you can apply acrylics, moving on to underpainting and why we do it, followed by mastering the technique of 'Dry Brushing'. Once you've got the feel for the breadth of Acrylic painting (and learn what dry brushing means!!) you'll be raring to go with your own painting project that has been busting to get out, and each student will work towards a final Still Life piece under Kelly's watchful guidance. My hope, is that by the end of the 4 weeks you'll be confident using acrylic paints and happy to use them as your new, 'go-to' medium. Included in the course are all materials [paint, brushes, paper and final piece canvas]. Small class sizes of no more than 4 people: allowing for plenty on 1-2-1 time. Classes will run even if not full. Tea, coffee and water free flowing. Plus theres the lovely Cowshed Cafe next door if you want to stay on for lunch! Free onsite parking | EV chargepoints
