Week 1: Materials & Mark Making Week 2: Light, Shade & Tone Week 3: Shape, Contour & Measuring Week 4: A Still Life Study Week 5: Life Drawing Week 6: Personal Project THURSDAY MORNING CLASS: 10am-Noon 2026 Course Dates: Jan 15th, 22nd, 29th, Feb 5th, 12th & 27th (no class on the 20th) Each week we will focus on a different aspect of this fundamental skill; building on the simple roots of mark making, moving up to a Life Drawing session in week 5. An ideal course for beginners, or anyone 'a bit rusty' and needing a refresher: this class aims to be a real confidence builder! With a solid foundation under your belt, each student will work towards a personal drawing project of their own choice in the final week . Small friendly classes set within the Creative Hub of Brownings Farm Workshops. Included in the course price are all materials, and a hardback 'Wills's Whims' A4 sketchbook; to record class exercises and hopefully fill with future artistic endeavours! Maximum 4 in a class.
