What To Expect

Dates: Saturday 8th March or Saturday 12th April 2025 10am - 4pm Lunch & afternoon treat included from our neighbour: The Cowshed Café A rare Saturday Workshop! Come and unwind after your working week - a day spent lost in concentration & painting. We'll begin in the morning with a bit of sketching to warm you up, then we are straight into the underpainting to build up a tonal map - with Kelly by your side to guide and explain every step, particularly to beginner artists. (For drying purposes, we will work in Acrylic paints at this stage.) After a break for lunch at our cosy, onsite café, it's back in the afternoon for some colour and the good stuff! Using Palette knives and fat brushes, we will create a modern impressionist style Still Life Painting; with thoughtful, bold strokes. Corr... Sounds good doesn't it?! Water, tea and coffee will be available all day in the studio, with 'fancy' coffees available to buy from our onsite Cowshed Café. Small class size of no more than 5 - so plenty of 1-1 time with all participants. [Classes will run even if not full] All materials supplied including canvas and paints.
