Easter School Holidays: Weds 16th April 10 am - 3.30 pm Suggested Age: 13yrs+ Join us at the Wills’s Whims Art Studio for an intense drawing workshop! Led by resident tutor Kelly; aimed at really raising the game of your drawing skills. I know drawing can seem boring...however it really is the cornerstone in Art - where nearly everything starts with a sketch. Being good at drawing isn't something you can or can't do - it requires focus, concentration and practice! However, it is one of the most calming and beautifully satisfying ways to wile away the day. And depending on what you chose to draw, can be far from boring. Whether you want to Illustrate like Mr Doodle, or paint like Picasso: it all begins with a drawing. We will start by briefly looking at materials and mark making, then move on to light, tone and 'measuring' by eye. In the afternoon we will put this knowledge into action with a foray into composition, and a final Still Life Drawing. A great workshop to fill up your sketchbook! Set in our pretty, rural studio, alongside other Creative folk in Brownings Farm Workshops. The Wills's Whims studio has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere: to allow creativity to thrive. All materials included. Maximum of 5 students: really allowing tutor time with each participant. Class will run even if not full. Please bring a packed lunch (nut free) or money to buy lunch from our neighbour: The Cowshed Café. [Water will be freely available all day.]
